American Academy of Forensic Science Annual Meeting (February 23, 2000)

Neo Gen Screening presented autopsy screening services to forensic pathologists at the annual convention for forensic scientist.  Neo Gen Screening is the largest provider of postmortem blood sample analysis and screening for metabolic causes of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) in the United States.

US News and World report pubished an article pertaining to expanded newborn screening entitled "Little Used Test Can Prevent Real Heartache" by Susan Brink in the January 17th issue.  Neo Gen Screening offers supplemental screening to parents, hospitals and states. ISNS Meeting in Sweden (July 1, 1999)

Neo Gen Screening and Cambridge Isotopes jointly presented products and services at the International Society of Neontal Screening in Stockholm, Sweden. 

Newborn Screening in Turkey (February 15, 1999)

Neo Gen Screening and Yenidogan Turkiye  have entered into a partnership to provide state-of-the-art newborn screening services in Turkey. In the agreement, Yenidogan Turkiye becomes the exclusive representative of Neo Gen Screening in Turkey for performing newborn screening services and diagnosis of inborn errors of metabolism.

Clinical Mass Spectrometry Conference (January 23-26, 1999)

Dr. Don Chace, the director of the Mass Spectrometry laboratory, co-organized the 11th Sanibel Conference on Mass Spectometry. The conference sponsored by the American Society of Mass Spectrometry focused on new and emerging applications and technologies in mass spectrometry that are impacting the clinical diagnosis of diseases states.  The meeting was well attended and by all measures a success.

Newborn Screening in Brazil (January 15, 1999)

Neo Gen Screening and Fleury Laboratories have entered into a partnership to provide state-of-the-art newborn screening services in Brazil. In the agreement, Fleury Laboratories becomes the exclusive representative of Neo Gen Screening in Brazil for performing newborn screening services and diagnosis of inborn errors of metabolism.

  A New Era In Newborn Screening (December 2, 1998).

In the December Issue of Clinical Chemistry, Dr. Don Chace and coauthors from the California Department of Health Services and Duke University Medical Center, report on the use of tandem mass spectrometry in providing more accurate early testing of newborns for PKUz. The manuscript is accompanied by an editorial written by Dr. Harvey Levy of Boston Children's Hospital.

"At First Cry" was a related story from HealthScout authored by Michael Easterbrook. In this article both Dr. Donald Chace (Neo Gen Screening) and Dr. Harvey Levy (Boston Children's Hospital were interviewed.

In the agreement, CEMEG becomes the exclusive representative of Neo Gen Screening in Mexico for performing newborn screening services and diagnosis of inborn errors of metabolism.

Pittsburgh 100 (August 25, 1998)
